Holiday and Color Lighting
We install permanent holiday lighting and color-changing systems. For instance, you can control them from an app. That way, you can celebrate any season without climbing a ladder.
Maintenance Packages
Finally, we keep your system working like new. Our maintenance plans keep fixtures clean and wiring safe. We make sure growing plants don’t block your lights.

Already have a system? Our landscape lighting service covers repairs, burned-out or dim fixtures, cut wires, failing transformers, and timer problems. We also retrofit older halogen systems to LED. If you need outdoor lighting repair in Austin, call 512-579-9833.
Security Lighting
Well-placed security lighting lights up entries, driveways, side yards, and dark corners without harsh glare. As a result, your home feels safer and still looks inviting.
Patio and Outdoor Living Lighting
Patio lighting lets you use your deck, patio, pool, or outdoor kitchen on warm Austin evenings. We use soft, warm light so the space feels comfortable, not bright.
Outdoor Lighting Built for Austin and the Hill Country
Austin homes have their own character. Many yards feature mature live oaks, native stone, and sloped lots, especially in the hills west of town. We uplight trees, wash stone walls, and light steps and paths on hillside lots. We also serve nearby communities such as West Lake Hills, Bee Cave, Lakeway, Dripping Springs, and Cedar Park.
Most projects run $3,000 to $7,000, and most installs take 1 to 2 days. The design consultation and nighttime demo are free.

MEET THE OWNER
Ryan Zimmerman grew up in Anchorage, Alaska. Then he moved to Central Texas in 2005. After working for the Texas State University System, he started a residential construction company in 2012.
From Construction to Landscape Lighting
At first, Ryan framed and remodeled houses around Austin. Soon, his work shifted to high-end window and door replacement. During that time, he also bought an abandoned home in Lago Vista, TX. Then he restored it into a beautiful single-family home. Along the way, one thing stood out to him: the visual impact of landscape lighting on Hill Country homes. He began exploring the trade.
In 2015, Ryan took a customer service role with a company in Dallas. Later, he bought a home in East Dallas and improved it in his free time. In fact, landscape lighting was his favorite addition, and it caught his neighbors’ attention. As a result, their questions soon turned into projects. The rest is history.
Austin Landscape Lighting FAQs
Do you offer free consultations in Austin?
Yes. First, we’ll review your property and give you a custom lighting plan at no cost.
How long does installation take?
Most installs take 1 to 2 days, depending on the size of the project.
Do you service existing lighting systems?
Yes. In fact, we repair and upgrade existing systems. For example, that includes LED retrofits and programmable timers and controls.
How much does landscape lighting cost in Austin?
Most of our projects run $3,000 to $7,000. Your quote is free.
Do you offer outdoor lighting repair in Austin?
Yes. We service and repair existing landscape lighting systems, including fixtures, wiring, transformers, and timers, and we can upgrade older systems to LED.
What landscape lighting fixtures last in Austin heat?
Solid brass and copper fixtures hold up best in Central Texas heat and hard sprinkler water. Outdoor Lighting Concepts installs brass and copper fixtures with LED lamps and transformers sized with headroom so they run cooler.
Can you light live oaks in Austin?
Yes. Mature live oaks are ideal for a combination of ground uplights on the trunk and canopy and moonlighting fixtures mounted high in the branches that cast soft, dappled light on lawns and patios. Tree-mounted fixtures use adjustable mounts so they can be loosened as the tree grows.
Do I need a permit for landscape lighting in Austin?
Texas law lets landscape lighting installers work on low-voltage circuits without an electrician’s license, but the outlet or circuit that powers the transformer is electrical work for a licensed electrician and may need a city permit. Plugging into an existing GFCI outdoor outlet usually avoids that.
